Charlie Kirk’s political organization will return to college campuses beginning this week for a series of events expected to commemorate the conservative activist’s life and feature appearances by his widow, Republican state governors and prominent conservative media personalities.

Turning Point USA announced Monday it would hold events at several schools, including some campuses Kirk was slated to speak at before he was killed during an appearance at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 in front of thousands of spectators gathered for the first stop of a tour intended to revive the university events he famously used to build his profile.

Erika Kirk, the new leader of Turning Point USA, pledged at an Arizona rally on Sunday that the organization’s “chapters will grow, thousands of new ones will be created” and “yes, campus events will continue and we will continue to hold debates and dialogue.”

A spokesperson for Turning Point did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Kirk’s death prompted several schools to review their security protocols for campus events and urge student groups to relocate plans to commemorate his life or protest his message. The latest tour is expected to feature more intense security procedures and closer coordination with host schools.

Virginia Tech, which is scheduled to host a Turning Point rally on Wednesday, said the organization’s initial event included both an afternoon outdoor event and an evening indoor event. But the outdoor event was canceled by the campus Turning Point chapter, according to a university spokesperson.
