DeSantis urges Florida to brace for worst ahead of Hurricane Milton

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday said he expects Hurricane Milton to unleash significant damage across the Florida Peninsula and that residents should prepare for the worst. DeSantis said during a morning news conference at the state Emergency Operations Center that weather forecasters did not predict Milton to grow from a tropical storm to a Category 5 hurricane as quickly as it did.
