Fetterman Disinterested In Work Of A Senator, Often Refuses Constituent Meetings: WSJ

A new deep dive from The Wall Street Journal offers a startling look at Sen. John Fetterman's (D-Pa.) reported approach to his role.

According to the Journal's reporting, which cited interviews with more than a dozen former staffers and lawmakers along with text messages and other records, Fetterman isn't particularly keen on the job of a lawmaker behind closed doors. He often declines to sit down with constituents and other lawmakers, or flakes on meetings, The Journal noted. Meanwhile, he's shown interest in building relationships with conservative media personalities and supporting Israel, per the publication.

In one instance that The Journal cited, Fetterman reportedly ditched a meeting with military veterans after claiming that he wasn't feeling well only to participate in an interview with Fox News shortly afterward.

Fetterman's office did not respond to emails from The Journal regarding the story and he also did not reply to the publication's requests for an interview.
