Jamie Raskin Expands Probe Into Trump’s Health Amid Reports Of His 22 Doctors

WASHINGTON — Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Thursday expanded his probe into President Donald Trump's health, demanding the White House physician provide Congress with a complete list of his medications, the names of his nearly two dozen doctors and the results from the president's most recent physical exam.

"It has apparently taken 22 medical specialists to pronounce President Donald Trump in 'excellent health,'" Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, says in a letter to Captain Sean P. Barbabella, the president's physician. "The White House has so far refused to say who all those doctors were, what are the specialties they practice in, and most importantly, why a routine physical for a man supposedly in 'excellent health' required a medical team nearly the size of a major league baseball team roster."

Raskin notes that on May 26, Trump spent three hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C., in his third visit to the hospital in 13 months. Beyond that, Trump has admitted to taking 325 milligrams of aspirin daily — four times the standard dose, while displaying persistent hand bruising covered in makeup and recurrent leg swelling.

"That does not sound like a patient in 'excellent health,'" he said.

The Maryland Democrat gives the White House physician until July 2 to provide the House committee with details on Trump's medical team and medications.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle scoffed at Raskin's suggestion that Trump has some health concerns.

"Lightweight Jamie Raskin is a stupid person's idea of a smart person," Ingle said in a statement to HuffPost. "President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats like Raskin intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people."

In April, Raskin demanded the White House provide the committee with the results of Trump's full cognitive exam after he posted a profanity-laced Easter Sunday social media post threatening to bomb civilian infrastructure in Iran. He notes in his Thursday letter that the White House never did comply with that congressional inquiry and makes that demand again.

"Comply with my April 10, 2026, request by conducting and publicly releasing a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of the President and making yourself available for a briefing, under oath, with Members of the Committee," said Raskin.
