Jasmine Crockett Scorches JD Vance Over Petty Insult About Her 'Street Girl Persona'

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) savaged Vice President JD Vance after he took a cheap dig about her appearance and personality while dissing Democrats during Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest on Sunday.

On the final day of the conservative organization’s Phoenix festival, Vance belittled his political rivals for considering “California liberal” politicians like Golden State Gov. Gavin Newsom and former Vice President Kamala Harris for the party’s 2028 presidential ticket.

After telling the crowd that Democrats were “not sending their best,” he griped about Crockett, who announced her bid to unseat Republican incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (Texas) earlier this month.

“And Jasmine Crockett. Oh, Jasmine Crockett,” the vice president said to a chorus of boos. “The record speaks for itself. She wants to be a senator, though her street girl persona is about as real as her nails.”

Crockett had no patience for Vance’s pettiness and clapped back at his comments on X almost immediately.

Roasting the memoirist-turned-politician for how he ended up as President Donald Trump’s VP, she said, “Imagine commenting on someone’s nails while at the same time ignoring that the only reason you got your political ‘dream’ job was because your boss incited a violent mob who wanted to hang your predecessor for, oh, I don’t know, honoring his oath to the Constitution?!”

It was a cutting reminder of how Vance largely ascended to his post after Trump broke with former Vice President Mike Pence for refusing to help overturn the 2020 presidential election.

In her post, Crockett went on to tell Vance he had plenty of his own problems to focus on, adding, “How about you stop worrying about me, until we are on the Senate floor together & work to stop your boss from bankrupting our country while engaging in the largest corruption scheme we’ve ever seen?!”

Crockett has routinely held her own when Republicans have used shallow, racially-charged insults to knock her credentials.

When Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made a rude comment about Crockett’s “fake eyelashes” during a House Oversight Committee hearing last year, the Texas Democrat responded by taunting Greene’s “bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body.”
