JD Vance scheduled to sit down for interview with Joe Rogan

Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, is expected to record an interview with the popular podcast host Joe Rogan on Wednesday morning in an attempt to reach less likely voters, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The podcast – called the Joe Rogan Experience – is seen as a way to reach young male voters, a demographic the Trump team has placed a premium on reaching given their strategy of trying to win the November by juicing their turnout.

Vance’s scheduled interview at 9am would come just over a week after Trump sat down with Rogan for a three-hour recording that garnered tens of millions of views across YouTube and other online platforms.

Trump’s rival, Kamala Harris, has publicized a possible interview with Rogan as part of her own attempts to win over young men, but it is in limbo. Rogan said on Monday that the interview with Harris was still under consideration but that he had refused terms placed on the conversation by the vice-president’s campaign.

“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour,” Rogan wrote late on Monday on X. “I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being.”
