Spoof Republican Midterm Convention Website Redirects To Epstein Files

A spoof website appearing to be associated with the upcoming Republican midterm convention in Dallas, was redirecting users to the Department of Justice's Epstein library on Friday. 

The website, gopdallas2026.com shows up high in Google search results when users search "Republican midterm convention."

But when clicked on, the link immediately redirects users to the DOJ's repository of files related to the criminal investigation into convicted ***-offender Jeffrey Epstein. 

A snapshot of the fake website from July 22, 2026, captured by the Internet Archives' "Wayback Machine" displays an actual website that appears to be associated with the convention, but includes a disclaimer at the bottom of the page. 

"This website is an independent informational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Republican National Committee (RNC), the 2026 RNC Midterm Convention, the American Airlines Center, or any official convention entity. For official convention information, please visit the appropriate official websites," the message reads.

It is unclear when the redirect began happening or who owns the domain name.  According to GoDaddy's WHOIS Database, the domain name was registered on July 7, 2026 and updated on Sept. 3, 2026. 

The Republican National Committee, which is hosting the event, did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment on the matter. 

The two-day convention will be held at Dallas' American Airlines Arena on Sept. 9 and 10, with President Donald Trump expected to speak both nights.
